Everwise celebrates Thanksgiving by giving back
This week, Everwise area managers, Celeste Jones and Adam Young, presented $10,000 checks to both the Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank in Noblesville and Second Helpings, Inc. in Indianapolis.
Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank is a critical hub for hunger relief in Hamilton County. Working collaboratively with donors, volunteers, and community partners, they’re able to efficiently collect and distribute food to local pantries to help families facing food insecurity.
Second Helpings fights hunger in central Indiana from every angle. They rescue food that would otherwise be thrown away, prepare it, deliver it to local nonprofits for free, and train people for careers in the culinary industry. Second Helpings delivers more than a million meals every year—many of them to kids and seniors.
Everwise also presented $5,000 to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana in partnership with WNDU in their efforts to provide turkeys for families in need throughout the South Bend area. The Food Bank of Northern Indiana and WNDU’s Turkeys on the Table Challenge has a goal of gifting over 10,000 turkeys 🦃 to families in need, along with other holiday essentials such as bags of apples and potatoes. Check out the full story here, as Brandon Demitruk, Everwise vice president of finance & treasury and board member for the Food Bank of Northern Indiana, presented the check during a live broadcast.
We’re pleased to work with these local partners and hope to make a meaningful difference in our communities this holiday season!
